We believe in conscious consumerism and produce limited runs and pre-ordered pieces, so as to not over-produce.
We use minimal packaging, and only use recyclable and bio-degradable materials.
We focus on using natural fibres and are committed to using as little synthetic fabrics as possible.
WHAT WE ARE STRIVING FOR
We currently carry out all of our Pattern-making and Prototyping in-house, and have partnered with a Sedex accredited factory in China and Indonesia to produce our pieces.
We strive to support the Australian textile industry, and our goal is to produce as much as we can in Australia. Working close to our product is something that we hold close to our hearts, and support artisanal crafts on home soil.
SOMMERFELD is two sisters from the Gold Coast, Australia, who have come together in 2025 with a shared love of natural fabrics and timeless pieces. The duality between them comes together to express a careful discernment between sustainable practices and femininity.
Their debut collection features Signature Basics born from their desire to feel cooler in warmer environments, whilst maintaining edge and sophistication.
